ANXIETY IN ANYONE

Anxiety strikes anyone, anywhere at any time. It can affect individuals regardless of age, gender, education, income or marital status

FEELING HELPLESS AND HOPELESS?

Anxiety creates a paralytic feeling which holds individuals helpless and hopeless until it passes. At their peaks, panic attacks feel as if they will shut off one’s ability to breathe.

FEELING AFRAID

Anxiety creates excessive fear, often from distorted and unrealistic thoughts. This robs the individual of sleep, comfort and peace.

QUICK ONSET

Many times anxiety comes with little or no warning signs and often dissipates in a similar manner. During counseling clients learn their personal triggers and will be taught to anticipate and prepare to manage or even stop the onset of anxiety.

FEELING OUT OF CONTROL

Anxiety can cause an individual to feel out of control. This leads to fear and embarrassment that someone has permanently lost control over their body and mind. 

Irrational thoughts cause heart palpitations, sweaty palms, face, brows and armpits. Some feel weak and shaky as if they may pass out or even die.

FEELING
HOPELESS

An individual can feel hopeless. That emotion perpetuates deeper levels of anxiety. It becomes a vicious never-ending and frightening cycle.

Individuals experiencing anxiety feel and fear everyone is watching them and judging them. They wonder what's the matter with themselves. Worry, irrational thoughts, and extreme fear often lead to panic.

Regain control over fearful, out-of-control feelings.

ASSESSMENT

Within the first few sessions, I take a history and assessment of problems, determine a diagnosis, and create an agreed upon treatment plan. Clients learn the triggers that cause or contribute to their specific type of anxiety.

LEARN

Through completing specific homework assignments and demonstrating these skills, clients gain control and power over both their mind and body. Therefore, they can once again experience peace and joy.

PRACTICE

Clients practice these newly learned skills in my office as well as in real life. They master new techniques and conquer their anxiety.
